Autumn & Winter Wedding Fairs 2009

Once again Halswell will be hosting two wedding fairs this season and we hope to see you to one, or both. Each is very different in feel with the Sunday 25th October event being a daytime extravaganza, while Wednesday 9th December is the chosen night for our second Nocturnal Wedding Fair.
Each event has its own character with the Sunday event concentrating on all things you need to see in daylight – bridal gowns, vintage cars, couture cake suppliers and photographers aplenty. The evening event gives you the chance to see Halswell in full evening dress complete with candle-lit rooms, fireworks and Christmas bedecked stalls offering a different take on the traditional wedding fair.
Admission is free and we will be welcoming you with a complementary glass of the now famous Halswell cocktail. More information will be available as the summer progresses but pencil in these dates for an experience second to none!
Remember, remember the 5th November, gunpowder, treason and plot!
Fireworks Extravaganza, Thursday 5th November - Ticket only event
Once again Halswell will play host to a spectacular fireworks display on Bonfire Night in support of St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice.
Tickets will be £7.50 for adults and £3.00 for children under 12. For this princely sum guests will be treated to a unique pyrotechnics show with many new designs being fired for the first time. Complementary mulled wine or soft drinks will start the evening off and the house will be open for guided tours.
The local school will provide the guy and activities will include bobbing-for-apples and children’s fancy dress competition. Exotic stilt walker will stalk the grounds and child-friendly glow-sticks and associated paraphernalia will be on sale to complement the proceedings. For those with an appetite there will be a hog roast available and supplementary bar in the ground floor Dining Hall.
The fun starts at 6.30pm with the main event scheduled for 7.30pm. A prize draw will complete the evening and all profits go to support hospice care.
Admission is by ticket only and early booking is advised because this event sells out in advance. Tickets will be available via the Halswell Box office on 0845 204 1066 shortly.

Black & White Masked Ball
New Year’s Eve Party 2009 (8pm to 3am inclusive) - Ticket event
After the roaring success of last year’s inaugural event, we are staging another New Year’s Eve Ball in the mansion house at Halswell this coming New Year’s Eve.
As before there will be a Highland piper to welcome you, complementary buffet, disco, and fun casino. Once the smoke has cleared from the best pyrotechnics display in the southwest at just after midnight, bangers and chips will be served to sustain you for the next three hours of serious partying.
The dress code will be black and white… and masked. Prizes for the best ensemble will be awarded during the course of the evening.
Six reception rooms will be available and three bars will serve guests from 8pm until 3qm the following morning – non-stop!
Want to enjoy yourself but don’t fancy the drive home afterwards? We can provide unique bedroom accommodation from as little as £100 (double or twin room) and even provide you with breakfast (if you’re up to it of course).

We are putting the finishing touches to ‘Build My Wedding™’ whereby you will be able to select your preferred date and then populate it with your dream elements. Menus, drinks packages, entertainments, fireworks and much more can be entered in either a Gold, Silver or Bronze quotation and then when you’re happy with what you’ve chosen you can total it up. Simple! Once you know what you want, what about paying for it monthly? The prefect way to plan for the partnership celebration of your dreams.
